We may have dropped some of these songs by the time Brendan joined but this is from an early 1977 song list.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE SCAVENGERS: Pretty vacant (Sex Pistols cover -live in 1977.09.20 NZTV)
THE SCAVENGERS: I don't like you (live in 1977.09.20 NZTV 'Ready to roll') =
'I hate you'
notes from Mr. Kenneth Cooke:
We mimed (Prestty vacant) to recordings we'd done in Auckland. It was Brendan's first gig with The Scavengers... first gig ever I think. Brendan didn't play on those recording. NZTV wiped the tape in the early eighties so unfortunately no trace of that session exists. The other song was called 'I don't like you' and is the first song we wrote.
---

THE SCAVENGERS: Violence
THE SCAVENGERS: Anne **
THE SCAVENGERS: Glad all over
THE SCAVENGERS: Get me to the world on time (live, The Electronic Prunes cover,
Buster Stiggs on guitar)
notes from Mr. Kenneth Cooke:
songs between 'Mysterex' and 'Anne' were originals and
recorded as demo's a few days after Brendan became vocalist. 'Anne' was a
half written song we thought we'd add at the end... but it never got
finished and we never played it live.. we did 'Glad all over' at the same session.. it's a Dave Clark 5 song..
'Get me to the world on time' is a cover of the Electric Prunes... we
used to constantly work out covers while we were on the road.. that song
came after we were snowed in in Christchurch and visited an Antiques
dealer who had a mountain of sixties singles... not sure if Buster
played on it?
